About Mark Flanders for Ward 4 Alderman Manchester, NH

Mark Flanders, is a Candidate for Ward 4 Alderman in Manchester, NH. He is a lifelong resident of the city and has lived in the Ward for 41 years. He grew up in South Manchester across from Manchester Housing Authority's Elmwood Gardens. His mother was a school teacher and his father a janitor. Mark comes from a humble background, a family of school teachers and Veterans. Mark's father was a World WarII Veteran and his brother a Viet Nam War Veteran. He attended and graduated from local schools. He developed a work ethic at an early age, working since age 14. Mark worked and played basketball to put himself through local colleges. He began his insurance career after obtaining his Associate Degree from Hesser College. While working as an insurance investigator he later obtained his Bachelor's Degree from Notre Dame College. Mark has multiple insurance degrees and designations. He chose to stay in Manchester because of his love for this hard working city. Many of us from Manchester have not had life handed to us. We are gritty and tough. We are smart and rich in life experience. Manchester flourishes with diversity, culture, and business. Manchester has immense promise and potential. Mark is proud to come from Manchester and have his roots here.

 

Mark is married to Stephanie Flanders. Their children are Adam and Brooke Flanders, Central High graduates.  He retired in 2021 after working 42 years for Fortune 500 Companies in the Insurance Industry as an insurance investigator and manager. Since retiring he has been a volunteer and actor for Manchester Community Theatre Players.

Mark will be genuinely dedicated to this position and his top priority is to improve the city. He is retired and eager to dedicate his free time to serving the city.
